The Luckiamute Watershed Council (LWC) is a volunteer group of neighbors from diverse perspectives working together to learn about the watershed and improve local water quality and habitat conditions. The mission of the LWC is to foster good stewardship of natural resources and to develop an improved understanding of the area's biological diversity.

As a member of the Model Watershed Program, the Luckiamute Watershed Council receives an annual capacity grant to fund operations related to on-the-ground projects in four sub-watersheds: the Upper Luckiamute, Maxfield Creek, Vincent Creek, and Pedee-Ritner Creek. The LWC also receives WRI funds under the Mainstem program for work at Luckiamute State Natural Area along the Willamette River. Cascade Pacific Resource Conservation and Development serves as a fiscal sponsor for the LWC.
