The Marys River Watershed Council (MRWC) is a nonprofit volunteer-based organization that works to promote broad and informed public participation in ecologically and economically sound sustainability and improvement of natural resources and environmental quality in the Marys River Watershed.

As a member of the Model Watershed Program, the Marys River Watershed Council receives an annual capacity grant to fund operations related to on-the-ground projects in the TumTum River, Greasy Creek, Beaver Creek, and Woods Creek sub-watersheds. These basins were selected for Model Watershed funds because they have the highest capacity to provide suitable coastal cutthroat trout habitat in the watershed.
