The Oregon Environmental Council (OEC) is a member-supported nonprofit that works to advance innovative, collaborative solutions to Oregon’s environmental challenges for today and future generations. The OEC's vision for Oregon includes solving global warming, protecting kids from toxics, cleaning up our rivers, building sustainable economies, and ensuring healthy food and local farms. Since 1968, the OEC has championed many Oregon's landmark environmental policies, including the Beach Bill to keep all Oregon beaches in public ownership, wilderness protection for Mt. Hood and Crater Lake, and the 1983 law that guarantees curbside recycling throughout the state.
Through a Basin Wide Impact grant, WRI helps support the OEC's efforts towards securing dedicated, consistent funding to address nonpoint pollution in the Willamette Valley.
